After a devastating fire ripped through DeWitt Products collection of older production facilities, in Southwest Detroit, JC Beal was engaged on a Design Build basis to get them back into production. Retaining the existing slab to help mitigate any potential site issues, and working with SDG Associates, Kem Tec, and Rigid Building Systems we site planned, designed, and engineered their new building around a pre-engineered building concept to obtain City approval to build to the former (non-compliant) footprint. We then then constructed their new facility over numerous additional City approval and weather condition hurdles through final inspections just received so that DeWitt can proceed with the installation of their rebuilt / replacement production equipment and get back to full production.
